ADean Learning is proud of the summer school programs that have been offered in the past and will continue with this tradition. Our goal is to provide an academically challenging environment for all students.
SUMMER@ADean Learning is tailored for Pre-school, Elementary, Middle and High school students who want to build their learning skills. Choose from exciting courses taught by Peel School Board’s certified teachers. Learn, debate, and experience the full range of topics each major has to offer.
Join SUMMER@ADean Learning and enjoy Math, Reading, Science, English and French.
This remedial program is designed for current Kindergarten through Fourth grade students who are in danger of retention, who are not meeting grade level standards, or who are performing below average on standardized tests. Intensive Language Arts/Reading and Mathematics instructions are given.
This middle school program is a strict remedial program for students currently in fifth through Eighth grades. This program is for students who are not meeting grade level standards, or who are performing below-average on standardized testing. Remedial instruction in Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science are given.
This high school program is for in-coming 9th
graders and current high school students. Courses include: Algebra, Math, Geometry, Trigonometry, World History , English 9, English 10, Biology, Earth Science and French.
Reading: One of the most pressing challenges schools face is that of ensuring that all children become competent readers. Young children who experience problems in reading quickly fall behind their more skilled classmates. This gap in reading skills can emerge as early as first grade, and proves to be pervasive over time. The long-term negative impact of poor reading skills can be enormous. At Adean Learning, we are committed to helping students improve their reading and comprehension skills to meet the Provincial standards.
French: Language Immersion - : French at ADean Learning aims at introducing or improving the French language for 6 to 13 year old children (1st to 8th grade) in a friendly and highly structured manner. No previous language study is required. Instruction is provided by highly experienced French speakers.
